New Hope Rising Ministries restores hope by bringing individual success to the lives of adolescents, youth and adults as we raise the level of self-worth for those involved in  “at risk” behavior and destructive lifestyles through meeting basic needs while building positive and trusting relationships.

Angel Food Ministries

Angel Food Ministries is no longer in business. After many years of quality service to many thousands of people, it has closed down its operation because of lack of funds.

Blessings by the Box

We, at First Church, have contacted another provider and will continue to offer discounted "Blessings by the Box" food to those who contact us.

The Pastors Perspective

I have been entrigued by a fairly new show on TV called "Doomsday Preppers." It is amazing to what extent some people have gone to make sure that when the end of world, as we know it, comes, they will be able to survive and go on living. There are countless thousands of dollars being spent to build bunkers for storing supplies as well as bunkers for families to live in.

The plans to "bug out" when that time comes are practiced on a regular basis with great precision. Adults as well as children are learning how to shoot both rifles and handguns to ensure that no one will take the supplies that have been stockpiled...
